Dental implants are a permanent solution for missing and seriously decayed teeth, secured firmly to the jawbone for maximum strength. They are metal posts or frames placed into the jawbone underneath your gums. Porcelain teeth are then firmly mounted to the post or frame, providing an entirely natural look.
Because dental implants are fused to your jawbone, they provide exceptionally stable support, allowing you to eat and speak without issues. Unlike bridges, no neighbouring teeth need to be prepared before a dental implant is fitted.
Straumann® stands for premium Swiss quality, precision and innovation delivering confidence in dentistry, backed by the largest global scientific network. Straumann vs Other Implant Manufacturers
“Straumann® stands for premium Swiss quality. Straumann dental implants offer the highest possible functional standards. Dental implants created by Straumann are tapered and constructed of titanium, which fuses with the jaw bone without irritating the gums or neighbouring teeth.”
Mr Alaa Aldaadaa – academic (PhD) and clinical Oral Surgery (MOralSurg)
There are many fantastic reasons to get dental implants, which is why they’re so popular among those looking to replace missing or decayed teeth.
The primary reason for dental implant surgery is its aesthetic look. There’s no way to replace missing teeth that looks as realistic. In fact, it will be almost impossible for others to tell that you’ve had a dental implant fitted. Of course, the natural look will only last if you commit to looking after both your teeth and implants.
Dental implants offer an exceptionally long-lasting solution. In fact, with the correct care – something our dentists can advise you on – there’s no reason your dental implants won’t last for a lifetime. The durability also ensures the implants are exceptionally strong, matching your existing teeth in strength.
Well-planned dental implant surgery carried out by an expert, such as the dentists here at Twoth, has an exceptionally high success rate. Overall, over 95% of dental implants are successful. Those with healthy teeth and gums have the best chances of success. Our dentists will discuss any dental implant risks with you before deciding on the procedure.
Dental implants will make eating pleasurable again. All implants are anchored to the jawbone, just like your teeth, ensuring they don’t move at all while eating. Having a complete set of teeth will also allow you to chew food better – solving a problem that most people with missing teeth will be all too familiar with.
Dental implants are an exceptionally comfortable choice. While they might feel slightly strange at first, this feeling will disappear, and you won’t even know they’re there after a while. This is in marked contrast to dentures, which are the usual solution for missing teeth offered by NHS dentists. You will not generally get dental implants on the NHS – they’re only usually provided privately.
One serious problem that can be associated with missing teeth is bone loss. The bone surrounding our teeth, called the alveolar, depends on teeth to maintain its form. Without teeth, the bone stops rebuilding, which can result in a 25% decrease in bone width in just one year – something that impacts strength and function. Dental implants provide the required stimulation and ensure the integrity of the bone.
The price of dental implants is a lot more affordable than you might think. Each implant costs approximately £2,500, but at Twoth, we provide financing for dental implants to make them a realistic choice for you. Speak to one of our team today to find out how our financing package can help you spread the cost of dental implants.
Invisalign clear aligners are removable giving you the flexibility to eat and drink what you want during treatment. You can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would for fresh breath and to maintain good oral hygiene.
Advanced 3D computer-imaging technology allows you to view your virtual results and receive a detailed treatment plan so you can see how your teeth are expected to look when your treatment is complete.
To ensure you know what to expect from your dental implant surgery at Twoth, we’ve detailed the entire process below.
We will begin by removing any decayed or otherwise damaged tooth from the position your dental implant will be inserted. This will be done under local anaesthetic and is therefore painless.
Before we begin work on your teeth, we’ll need to plan the procedure. We’ll use our CBCT scanner – machinery not usually found in dental surgeries – to produce a precise 3D image of your mouth. This will allow us to evaluate your suitability and calculate the exact way forward.
It’s then time to carry out the procedure, which again will be done under local anaesthetic. Your dentist will make a small cut in your gum and then make a hole in the bone underneath. The implant is inserted into this hole before the gum is closed with stitches.
You’ll now need to give the gum some time to heal and allow osseointegration – that is, the jawbone attaching firmly to the implant. We will provide you with a temporary denture during this period, ensuring you still have a complete smile while waiting for the next step.
Once the gum is healed and the implant is firmly anchored, your dentist will place the abutment, the post your crown will eventually be attached to. You will then need to wait for around two weeks before the artificial tooth is attached.
We’ll then make more impressions of your mouth, allowing us to make your crown. This crown will be tailor-made for you, matching your other teeth perfectly.
It’s now finally time for your porcelain tooth to be attached. We will generally use a fixed tooth, which can’t be removed, but there is also the option to have a removable tooth fitted instead.
The procedure is now finished. You might require some pain medication immediately after the surgery, plus you might need to eat soft food for a few days. If you have any concerns, call our surgery and speak to one of our dental team.
“You’ll now have a dental implant that perfectly fits your smile, which will make a huge difference aesthetically and boost your self-confidence. However, you must then follow good dental hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly to keep your implant – as well as the rest of your teeth – looking great.”

Find the answer to the most common questions. Everything you need to know about Dental Implants.
The dental implants procedure begins with removing any remaining tooth that might be present. We then use state-of-the-art technology to map your mouth, allowing us to plan how we’ll move forward.
After this, we perform a small procedure to insert the implant into your gum. Once it has bonded with the bone, we can move ahead with attaching the abutment and then attaching the porcelain tooth. The procedure takes a few weeks, but the fantastic results are worth the wait.
No dental procedure should ever be painful, regardless of its invasiveness. We will use a highly effective local anaesthetic during your procedure to ensure you don’t feel a thing. You might feel minor discomfort after the procedure, but this can be alleviated with over-the-counter painkillers. We also offer intravenous sedation if requested by our patients.
The cost of a dental implant depends on several factors. We’ll be able to give you an exact price once we’ve met with you and performed an initial assessment. However, expect to pay somewhere around £2,850 per implant.
We recognise that the dental implants cost can make this procedure beyond the reach of some people. This is why we provide highly competitive financing for dental implants, so you can spread the cost of the procedure over months, making it more affordable.
Yes, dental implants are completely safe. Your procedure will be performed by a highly trained dentist, ensuring everything is done correctly. You do not need to be concerned about your dental implant procedure.
Dental implants are exceptionally long-lasting, and you should expect your dental implants to remain in excellent condition for 20-30 years. However, if you are diligent with your oral health by both brushing and flossing regularly, there’s no reason why your dental implant can’t last a lifetime.
If you ever have any concerns about your dental implant, whether it’s 10 days or 10 years after it was fitted, you should speak to a dentist.
Almost every adult who has lost or damaged a tooth is a candidate for a dental implant. However, you must have a healthy mouth and no decay or gum disease. If you have either, a dentist will be able to advise you about how to treat it.
Some medical conditions, such as blood clotting disorders, will make you unsuitable for this treatment. It is also not wise to perform dental implant surgery on anyone under 18, as their bone tissue might not be fully developed.
The overwhelming majority of dental implants go without a hitch, but there are occasions when the treatment fails. Those who smoke are more likely to experience a failed dental implant, as smoking can damage the gum and the bone surrounding the implant. Stopping smoking will significantly increase the chances of getting a successful dental implant.
You should also remember that there are habits that can damage dental implants. Smoking and drinking certain drinks can permanently stain them while chewing hard items can break the crowns. Also, avoid grinding your teeth – if you do this, a dentist will be able to recommend treatment.
Bone grafting is not something usually required for those receiving dental implants. However, it might be needed if your bone isn’t thick enough or is too soft. We will be able to tell you whether a bone graft is required once we have met you and analysed images taken of your jaw.
If you require bone grafting, we can carry out the procedure here at Twoth. If only minor bone grafting is needed, it can often be carried out at the same time as implant surgery. If you require more extensive bone grafting treatment, the procedure can take several months.
All on X concept have been utilised in oral and maxillofacial surgery in the last 30 years to help 1) patients that have no teeth and currently on dentures and 2) those with teeth that are in failed status, to obtain fixed restoration similar to natural teeth. By utilising the latest technology, this treatment became much less invasive and much more effective. Usually 4-6 dental implants will be embedded into the jaw and while the jaw heals and the bone regenerates, patient will be fitted with a temporary set of teeth that looks fairly natural which can be fixed (and rarely removable pending bone status) for 3 months prior to be replaced with a final bridge that looks very natural. Perhaps the biggest reason for choosing All on x treatment is that the entire procedure is carried out over just one day (2-3h for surgery/2h for restoration).

All on 4 dental implants are regularly referred to as ‘Smile in a Day’ or ‘Teeth in a Day’ because, as you might surmise, the entire surgical procedure is carried out during one visit to our location. Follow up appointments will be required, but they will not usually feature any invasive orthodontic work.Traditional implants, on the other hand, are fitted over several visits, which can span weeks, or even months – a huge problem for many, especially those with work or family commitments. In terms of convenience, All on 4 implants can’t be beaten.
But what exactly are All on 4 implants? Well, an implant of this type is intended to replace an entire arch, meaning that it will replace all teeth on the upper or lower jaw. However, you won’t need to have 14 individual implants – instead, everything is securely fixed in place using just four implants.
As we are sure you will understand, the welfare of our patients is of utmost importance. Therefore, we will assess every case objectively, and provide honest, unbiased advice on your suitability for an All-on-X dental implants.
However, All on X implants are suitable for around 95% of patients we see. Please don’t assume you will be unsuitable for All on 4 implants if you have a particular dental problem. The procedure is still often possible and even preferable to other options.
Missing teeth due to decay
Missing teeth as a consequence of injury
Periodontal disease
We will use a variety of techniques to confirm your eligibility for All on X implants, including a 3D scan x-rays, a 3D impression of your teeth and a thorough examination from our highly experienced surgeon Mr. Aldaadaa. We will also consider your medical history, to ensure there are no issues that could impact suitability, such as untreated diabetes, thyroid problems or other autoimmune disorders.
It’s very important to mention that we regularly perform All on x treatment on those previously told they are unsuitable for implants. Even those with serious cases of periodontal disease and bone loss can be treated by our hugely experienced surgeon Mr. Aldaadaa and our team at Twoth.
So, if you are missing teeth and are considering All on X treatment, we would like you to get in touch – even if you think you won’t be suitable. You could find that All on X is actually the perfect option to give you the smile you’ve always wanted.
All on 4 implants have a huge number of benefits – which is why fitting them has become such a hugely popular procedure. Take a look below to see just a few of the benefits of All on 4 implants.
The most obvious, as well as most important, advantage to All on X implants is the fact that they offer instant results. You’ll walk into our clinic dissatisfied with your smile and leave just hours later with an entirely transformed set of teeth.
Of course, we won’t simply abandon you after your procedure. Instead, we’ll insist on seeing you for follow-up appointments, to check progress and ensure there have been no unexpected issues. During these visits, there will be no invasive procedures performed and most appointments last for around 20-30 minutes.
All on X is a permanent solution to missing teeth. Implants are attached directly to the bone in your jaw and cannot be removed. This means that All on X implants are not the same as conventional or snap-in dentures.
The permanency of All on X dental implants is a huge advantage. No longer will you have to go through the rigmarole of the nightly denture routine, and nor will you have to worry about misplacing your dentures. What’s more, All on X dental implants are exceptionally simple to clean – just brush them as you would normal teeth. You will be taught how to do this at our clinic multiple times and we will ensure checking on your performance in every review appointment.
There’s no way of denying it: traditional implants can be exceptionally expensive, especially if you need to replace a significant number of teeth. This can make them unrealistic options for many, despite the fantastic payment plans we’re able to offer to our clients.
All on X makes replacing multiple missing teeth affordable utilising 4-6 implants only to replace 12 teeth. We’re able to offer such affordable prices for All on X implants as the procedure is less time consuming than traditional implants. We are fully transparent in our fees and our honest approach has gained Mr Aldaadaa thousands of new friends as he always says “full arch patients are friends for life”. However, we will ensure to provide you with a tailored treatment plan including break down of appointments and fees once we finish our initial consultation and scans. Everyone is different and it is not one fits all.
Having All on X dental implants fitted is a virtually pain-free procedure. You will, of course, receive a local anesthetic before the procedure begins, ensuring you won’t feel a thing during the procedure, and our experienced surgeon will make sure you remain comfortable throughout your visit. Some patients opt for intravenous sedation option which includes insertion of a plastic canula in their arm to administer a medication that makes them relaxed and sleepy (not sleeping).
After the procedure, you might experience some localised discomfort, but this should not be serious and can be managed at home with painkillers prescribed by the surgeon.
Having missing teeth isn’t just damaging mentally – it can also cause serious physical problems too. Bleeding gums, dental pain and more can be alleviated following the fitting of a hygienic restoration utilising all on X dental implants.
What’s more, you’ll find that your All on X dental implants are securely attached, ensuring there’s no rubbing on the gums – the most common problem with dentures. This will reduce irritation and any associated inflammation you might have previously suffered.
The process of fitting All on 4 implants is carried out in one day. We’ve outlined how All on 4 dental implants are fitted below – if you have any concerns about any stage of the procedure, we’d be more than happy to discuss them with you and reassure you as to the procedure’s safety and efficacy.
While the actual procedure takes a single day, we will need to see you beforehand to assess your suitability for All on 4 implants, as well as to create a cast of your teeth using dental putty. We’ll also need to see you after the appointment too, although there will be no more invasive surgery.
“Please be assured that the entire procedure will be carried out while you are under local anaesthetic, ensuring the surgery is painless throughout. Our professional and experienced team will monitor you during and after the procedure to ensure minimal discomfort and maximum results.”
Mr Alaa Aldaadaa – Specialist in Oral Surgery and Complex Implants Surgeon
As already mentioned, the team at Twoth will keep in regular contact with you after your procedure. Your dentist will, of course, provide thorough aftercare instructions. However, there are also some steps you can take to help ensure the success of the implants.
Patients should continue to practice proper oral hygiene from the moment their All on 4 implants have been fitted. However, we advise patients to only brush using a soft bristle toothbrush immediately after the procedure, and to avoid brushing surgical sites. Brushing should happen at least twice a day, plus we also recommend flossing daily. Water flossers can also be fantastic for keeping implants looking great.
Although the surgery won’t stop you from leading an active life immediately afterwards, we recommend you take it easy for a few days and rest up. The rest will boost recovery and help ensure the areas around the implants heal both properly and quickly.
Staying hydrated is always advisable, but particularly after you’ve had any type of surgery, no matter how minor. Staying hydrated will be hugely beneficial to your recovery, so we recommend always having water to hand.
Once your All on 4 implants have been fitted, your dentist will talk you through exactly how to care for them. Please stick closely to their recommendations, as they’re designed to ensure the initial success of the procedure, as well make sure you keep your implants in great condition for years.

Find the answer to the most common questions. Everything you need to know about Dental Implants.
Standard implants require each tooth to be attached to the jaw individually. Therefore, replacing an entire bridge would require 14 different implants to be inserted. With All on 4, this number is reduced to just four, which supports the entire bridge.
Using just four implants means less invasiveness, faster results, and lower cost. What’s more, the result is equally as impressive as if you had individual implants, and often better.
After an initial assessment, the invasive part of the procedure – i.e., when the implant posts are inserted into the jaw – is carried out over just one day. We will also insert a temporary bridge after this, so you go home with a new smile after just a few hours.
You will then need to return once the jaw has healed and have your permanent bridge attached, which isn’t invasive and takes only a short amount of time.
This varies depending on several factors, but you can be sure that All on 4 dental implants are far cheaper than the main alternative – individual implants. The difference in price is usually significant, with All on 4 coming in far cheaper than the £20k plus it would cost to fix 14 individual implants.
We’ll be able to give you an accurate quote on the cost of your All on 4 dental procedure once you have attended our clinic in London and had a consultation with a specialist.
If you have active periodontal disease, you will be encouraged to bring this under control before getting All on 4 implants. This can be done in a variety of ways – a dentist can advise you on your best path. However, once the gum disease has been remedied, there’s a good chance you’ll be suitable for All on 4 dental implants.
If you’re unsure as to whether you’re a suitable candidate for All on 4 implants, we encourage you to book an assessment, where an experienced dentist will examine you and provide you with a list of options.
It is generally the case that no bone grafting will be required before the All on 4 procedure can take place. This is because the All on 4 implants are inserted in the front of the jaw, where bone is stronger.
However, if you do require bone grafting, we can also complete the procedure for you, in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Your dentist can speak to you more about this if required.
No, the All on 4 procedure is not painful, as we will administer a local anaesthetic before any invasive dental work begins. After the procedure has been completed, there might be some discomfort, but this can be managed using household painkillers, such as ibuprofen and paracetamol.
No, they aren’t. All on 4 dental implants are attached directly to your jawbone, so can’t be removed, unlike dentures. The permanency of All on 4 dental implants is one of the main reasons why so many opt for this treatment.
All on 4 and All on 6 dental implants are essentially the same thing, aside from the fact that All on 6 relies on six, not four, implants inserted into the jawbone. While All on 6 provides more stability, it’s not always suitable, usually due to a lack of jawbone on which to attach the six implants required. In this instance, All on 4 can be the better option.
Both All on 4 and All on 6 work exceptionally effectively and look fantastic. Your dentist will be able to work with you to decide which is best for you. Please note that we offer both the All on 4 and All on 6 treatments here at Twoth.
As with normal teeth, coffee, as well as many other foods and drinks, can cause your All on 4 dental implants to become stained. However, this can be avoided if you commit to a regular brushing schedule, ideally brushing for two minutes, both morning and night. Those with All on 4 implants should also floss regularly to maintain white teeth and promote oral hygiene.
Please also note that you should absolutely avoid drinking coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for at least three days after your surgery has been performed. The heat in these drinks can contribute to increased bleeding, which will often disrupt and lengthen the healing process.
All on 4 implants are exceptionally durable, with data showing that the teeth attached to the implants can last for over 20 years, providing they receive the correct care. The actual implant posts themselves should never need replacing.
You can prolong the life of your All on 4 implants by taking regular trips to your dentist, brushing and flossing daily, and using a night guard to protect your teeth during sleep.
As with all medical procedures, there are some small risks associated with All on 4 implants, including infection, discolouration, and pain. However, these are rare – approximately 95% of All on 4 treatments are completely successful. Even if problems do develop, they can be effectively managed and rectified by a dentist.
